Impact Cx is a certified commissioning firm with over 20 years of experience providing a complete range of commissioning services. As building systems become increasingly complex, the commissioning process must exceed simple check-the-box documentation. We are dedicated to delivering hands-on, qualitative commissioning services to building owners and operators for both new and existing buildings.
We partner as a third-party team member, ensuring systems are designed, installed, tested, and capable of being operated and maintained according to the owner’s needs. Our unique and scalable approach tailors solutions based on factors like budgetary constraints, short-term facility goals, and long-term outcomes regarding equipment life, operational costs, and energy use.
Who we are
About Impact Cx
We are an employee-owned commissioning firm with a diverse team of experts across the U.S. Our collaborative approach allows all parties to work toward the same goals, resulting in buildings that operate as intended from the first day of occupancy, with tangible cost savings and long-term project value.
What we offer
From the initial consultation to full specification and construction facilitation, we offer a full range of services and develop advanced and often groundbreaking solutions when conventional approaches won’t deliver quality results.
Commissioning for New Construction
Our commissioning process begins by thoroughly understanding project goals and owner’s intentions, guiding the development of a comprehensive plan. Throughout each project, no matter the size or cost, our team of professionals ensures systems are safe and operable.
Existing Building Commissioning (EBCx)
At Impact Cx, we ensure building equipment and systems operate optimally to meet occupant needs while finding “low cost/no cost” operational improvements. This results in reduced utility costs, enhanced property values, reduced repair and replacement costs, and increased energy performance.
Additionally, our team identifies facility improvement measures complete with payback information and creates tailored implementation plans that suit budgets and schedules. We follow up by commissioning the implementation measures and working with facilities teams to ensure building systems operate as intended and energy savings are realized.
Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx)
A building’s envelope plays a major role in building energy use. Improper insulation and incorrectly applied sealants can result in air and water leakage, leading to increased energy usage and costly damage. Our BECx team will apply our proven commissioning approach to building enclosures, ensuring systems are designed and installed appropriately, and are functioning as intended to reduce energy use over the lifetime of the building.
Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx)
By continuously monitoring and analyzing system performance trends, our team can efficiently identify facility performance declines to maintain and optimize building systems accurately. Our MBCx program is customizable to the building’s needs, whether through an automated approach or an ongoing, actively managed undertaking. Our process helps ensure operational efficiencies are sustained over time and maintenance activities can be targeted for immediate needs.
Data Center Commissioning
Our data center experts serve some of the largest mission critical technology companies in the world and focus on ensuring the reliability, redundancy, and efficiency of data center systems such as power, cooling, and network infrastructure.
LEED Commissioning
Our team has the skills and certifications to verify that the sustainable design and construction features of a building meet the requirements of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system.
Energy Audits
Our specialists can provide a comprehensive assessment of a building’s energy use and efficiency with recommendations for improvements and cost savings.
Code Compliance
We can assess a building’s compliance with internal energy codes and local requirements to ensure the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of its operations.
